Opening Wellfleet

August 4, 2021 Written by Marcy Leventhal

While most people are aware that cannabis operations come with a lot of regulatory requirements, they probably don’t know how much work goes into developing and licensing the company prior to operations.

In addition to finding real estate, securing funding, and putting together a team of people with the necessary business experience, there is so much to accomplish before a company is ready to launch. From selecting a name, brand look and feel, and messaging, to creating a product line and facility designs that align with the required processes; there are so many strategic decisions that need to be made.

As a vertical company, it is important to ensure that plans are cohesive and compliant, and that products can move efficiently through the supply chain. In addition to the specific functionality of each facility, they also need to be secure, both inside and out. It’s a difficult task that requires input from a lot of professionals, including those who will be growing and manufacturing the cannabis and cannabis products.

For retail dispensaries, such as the one we are about to launch in Wellfleet, the goal is to design a facility geared towards creating a positive customer experience, while considering intuitive processes for intake and storage of products. The Terps team has worked diligently to ensure we are prepared for the unique challenges of operating a cannabis company.

So many capable people outside of our organization have participated in the design and development of our facilities. We are grateful to have found many talented contractors and service providers to help us recognize the Terps vision. For all of these reasons, we are incredibly excited for the opening of the first of our MA cannabis operations in Wellfleet. We invite everyone over the age of 21 to join us and celebrate the realization of all the hard work. The future is bright for Terps!
